Ebunoluwa Awosika (Trustee)
Ebun studied law at the University of Ife, Nigeria and obtained an LLB in 1986. She was admitted to the Nigerian bar in 1987 and went for further studies at Cambridge University, England, where she obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in 1988. She has worked in the Investment banking and finance sector as well as top law firms in Nigeria gaining a wide and varied experiences. Ebun is currently an Associate Partner at the top Nigerian law firm of Ajumogobia & Okeke. Ebun’s interests include sports, media and entertainment and philanthropy particularly in the areas of assisting widows and orphans and the development of the youth through educational programs in general. |
Kate Onianwa (Trustee)
Kate Onianwa obtained a degree in law from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. She is a member of the Corporate & Commercial and Aircraft & Aviation Departments at Ajumogobia & Okeke. She has practical experience in immigration, employment & labour, company secretarial, legal, regulatory, corporate governance matters and aircraft/aviation transactions. She is a team member that routinely provides legal advisory services to the British Deputy High Commission and British Council on employment & labour matters. Kate is currently a Senior Associate at Ajumogobia & Okeke and her interests include travelling and volunteering to help the needy. |
Olufemi Lijadu (Trustee)
Mr. Lijadu completed his first degree in law at the Durham University in 1977. He was admitted to the Nigerian bar in 1981. He obtained an LLM from University College London 1983 and an MSC (Sloan Fellow) from the London Business School 2003. Mr Femi Lijadu has worked in and gained valuable experience from some of the leading law firms in Nigeria. He is currently a partner with the law firm Ukiri & Lijadu (Legal Practitioners). He is currently serving as a member of the Federal Government of Nigeria Audit Committee on the Recovery of Stolen Assets, within and outside Nigeria. Femi’s interests include Art and Crafts and advancement of the creative arts in general. |
Ms Noemi Garcia (Collaborator)
Ms Noemi Garcia holds a B.SC degree in Chemistry from the Mapua University, Manila, Philippines and an M.Ed from De la Salle University Manila, Philippines. She has lived in Nigeria for over three decades and was the Chemistry teacher at the American International School for four years. Ms Noemi Garcia is the joint Facilitator/Coordinator and the driving force behind the Best Minds Competition. She is in charge of all key decisions such as Competition format, Competition Syllabus, Participating Schools, Coaches, Competition Judges and so on. She is a distinguished educator and the former Principal of Lagoon Secondary School, a position which she held for several years. She is currently in charge of a Workshop series that trains and equips teachers from all interested schools in Lagos State to perform at their optimum capacity. |
